STARTING FOR THE YEAR ON TUESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY
The children meet outside the library every Tuesday afternoon and we will walk them to you at one of these 3 meeting places:
- Corner of Malfroy and Ford Road outside the Four Square.
- Jervis Street shops
- Pererika Street shops (Boy’s High end)
Please note we are only doing an afternoon walk this year.
If you are willing to help walk a group of children home please leave your details at the office.
Students who are interested in playing:
Touch - Your contact person is Mr Brell. Practises have began and permission forms were given out last week. Please return to the school office as soon as possible with fees.
Flipperball - Your contact people are Whaea Maryanne in Room 3 and Whaea Dolly in Room 15. Permission forms were given out last week. Please return to the school office as soon as possible with fees.
Cricket - Your contact person is Mrs O in Room 8. Information forms were given out last week. Please return to the school office as soon as possible.
Teachers and students the target is to complete 4km (or 10 laps of the field) per week. Over 10 weeks the students should have completed 40km (or 100 laps of the field). On Wednesday 16 April the students who have registered and paid their $5 will travel to Government Gardens to complete the last 2.2km on the Marathon course with other children from other schools. Students can run or walk the 40km. This is a great opportunity to be part of the 50th Rotorua Marathon. Its also great training for summer sports, Malfroy School's Duathlon and Athletics Day.

Congratulations to all the Malfroy Touch Rugby players who played in a tournament during the holidays. A number of these players were chosen to represent Rotorua, excellent effort.
Mrs T is the coordinator for the Mini Marathon event and will be meeting with interested runners who would like to be part of this event.
