Each term, Malfroy school host a whanau breakfast, for our Malfroy community. We put on extra yummy food to cater for our whanau. During the Maori New Year we celebrate Matariki through a whanau breakfast and concert. Our staff generously donate food items to give to families who draw the lucky numbers. This year we had a huge turnout and the hall was buzzing with lots of whanau. Remember, to come to our next one!
What does this mean?
It means that at Malfroy School we promote drinking water at school and discourage any other drinks. For example, we strongly discourage fizzy drinks, juice and flavoured milk. There are large amounts of sugar that are in these and we teach our students that water is the best. We are also thankful that we have the opportunity to give each child a carton of plain milk each day - thanks to the Fonterra Milk in Schools initiative. So remember - Malfroy is a Water Only School! |
